That year's festival can be hosted by jazz vocalist Rondi Charleston, storyteller by him along with drummer Terri Lyne Carrington with Jhon Mcakey. The opening concert features an all-star quintet contains Bridgewater, Carrington, pianist Geri Allen, bassist Esperanza Spalding, singer songwriter Jenny youthful and saxophonist Leeway Kelly, each a winner of multiple honours in her area.
