Matthew Spathas is a graduate of Oregon State University. He exited the University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. However, for Matthew Spathas, Oregon is an extremely small part of his past and future. Matthew Spathas sees the planet in very global terms. He has international work and study abroad experiences in Hong Kong and Beijing respectively. For Spathas, opportunity abounds, and he is eager to begin his specialist career internationally.

As still a student at Oregon State University, Matthew Spathas held a 4 month long industrial real-estate internship as a exploration Analyst with NAI Asia Pacific Buildings . This four month long experience during the summer previous to his senior year at OSU was one of the most influential experiences of his life. Living in Hong Kong and working in a fast-paced business environment that dealt with high-end clients and luxury buildings on a regular basis, showed Matthew Spathas a small slice of the type of chances open to those qualified for working overseas.

Committed to pursuing a career in international business, Matthew Spathas decided to invest himself more completely in the world of international business after graduating from Oregon State University. In early 2011, shortly after graduation, Spathas traveled back to Asia, this time to Beijing, to participate for four months in an intensive Mandarin language immersion program at the Beijing Language and Culture University.

This experience in mastering and practicing the Mandarin language highly broadens Spathas’ horizon, opening him up to different possibilities than would be open to his peers who only speak English. His love for Mandarin has made the language immersion experience a lot more enjoyable. Matthew Spathas is excited to take his experience with international business and Mandarin abroad once more!
